Time to bump this thread methinks!

So how did all you guys do?

Here's how I did:

1. To pass all my exams
I passed, but not well enough...

2. To get at least 2 good Uni offers
I gots me 3!

3. To not be alone on New Years Eve 2009
*sigh* it could've happened...

4. To look after myself more (physically and emotionally)
Sort of. I'm healthier now than I was. Still not 100%

5. To get in shape and be happy with my appearance
Definitely a resounding 'no' right here...

6. To be confident enough to have performed on stage solo
It's getting there, I have performed as part of a chorus and a duo, not solo just yet.

and there was a #7 but I lost that with the passing of my laptop

1) To go to all of my lectures

For the first half of 2009 this went well. For the second half, couldn't have gone worse.

2) To think more positively

Started off well. Then slid back in to old habits.

3) To lose weight.
I put on weight.

4) To save money for New York
I had to cancel New York

Since resolutioners will probably be checking out this thread;

You guys want the secret to losing weight and keeping it off? . All a person needs to do is stop eating processed foods, or foods out of boxes/packages. If you make it a daily goal to consume 5 fruits/vegetables a day, they will give you a "full" feeling throughout the day, as well as providing your body with nutrients. Add in lean cuts of meat/beans/brown rice for protein, and you are set. Snacking on raw broccoli/cauliflower/carrots/baby spinach leaves while at your desk, or just in general is another easy strategy.

DON'T try to start difficult fad types of starvation diets. All those do is irritate you and deny your body of the nutrients it needs. NOTE: Many of these will work in the short term, but never in the long term without consequences.

If you want to accelerate fat loss, a dumbell routine works great for beginners. Muscle burns fat while you are sleeping. I'm not sure if we can provide outside links, so if www dot bodybuilding dot com isn't appropriate for me to type out here, let me know, and I'll delete that part. At any rate, on that site, you can customize exercise plans to meet your needs based upon the tools/resources you have available to you.

Any questions, feel free to PM me. This is one of my hobbies.

I know all the "secrets" - but fresh food is expensive Fruits and vegetables here are through the roof thanks to the drought, as are most meats and dairy. I literally cannot afford fresh food a lot of the time. I try and balance everything with regular exercise etc but that's been hard this year because of a lot of other things I've had to deal with

There's no secret to losing weight. It's just eat well and exercise regularly. Unfortunately my lack of income right now and the fact I'm never really in one place for long (at the moment) is making it really hard. But so long as I'm not gaining weight I'm not going to complain too much.

Ahahaha, I was going to bump this too

1. To lose more weight And keep it off.
Next!

I didn't gain weight. It's gone up and down a bit over the year but I'm at the same mark I was at this time last year.

2. To earn money Hopefully at a job I like, and save said money, instead of fritter it away.

I have managed to save a fair bit this year. It's been stuck into an account I'm not touching - it's for my move overseas - but my main account is looking extremely empty right now. I'm hunting for extra work to keep me going.

3. To read more.

Achieved this Will post a topic with all the books I've read in 2009 at some point in the next few days.

4. To spend more time with my dad.

Eh. Did this too and it backfired and now I want to spend less time with him.

5. To write more.

This failed so hard it's not funny.
