I wrote this one at work a few days ago.

Save Me

I walk to the edge
Breathe in deep and close my eyes
Pain consumes me
Hear the voices cry
Redemption is always one day away
One step closer and watch the world fade away

As I let you go, I will follow you
Through the darkness and the pain
To the light that fills the void
To the clouds that hold no rain

Your memory, it reminds me
Just how much I have to bleed
To savour all I have left of you
But it's not enough to save me

And when I cry
I cry for you
When I fall
I fall with you
When I run
I run from you
When I die
I die for you

I can't save you anymore

I've been fighting too long
To take one more breath
Broken down
Taken out
I will rise to live again

Breathe it in and wash it all away
Live to breathe and die another day

I will fight again
Just tell me where it ends
Waiting for the dawn to break the darkness in my head
Look into my eyes
Just tell me it's alright
That this is not where I lay down to die

I can't hold on to this
Slipping through my hands
Fade away

But this is not the end
