Pointless topics and game topics will now go on to reach 5,000 posts. These topics are all well and good but spam rules apply here too. Only ONE pointless topic at any one time. Older pointless/game topics will be closed by an admin/mod (Myself, Daniel or Lisa).

Spam warning - ANYONE seen "spamming" to increase their post count (in this forum or ANY) will soon find themselves at post count zero. A second time someone finds themselves at post count zero, they will be banned indefinitely. "Spamming to increase post count" is a maximum of FIVE consecutive posts by one person in ANY topic.

Just for reference, SPAM is:

- The crap you don't want to eat
- The crap you don't want in your inbox
- The crap you don't want on your forums

And can stand for: Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. I don't think I need to go on, we all know what I mean. Spam rules also apply to the shout box.

Any continuous rule breakage will result in the "Fun & Games" forum going bye-bye.

Can I just ask, IF (and I say 'if') a spammer posts in the board, could users take it upon themselves to post in a topic just to bump the spam off the top, or wait for a mod to come along and delete it? (which on the old board seemed to take a while)

To be honest, it doesn't really hurt anyone. I think we're all sensible enough to realise it's spam and not to click on any links and to just ignore the posts. So, yeah, lets just ignore it and someone will deal with it when they can.

And you should also realise, mods on here are adults and have lives and jobs and stuff.

Point? Ignore spam messages.

That was close. I was afraid that at the end of this conversation my post count would be halved.

I have to say that the shout box is in for some serious spamming eventually. It just begs to be spammed with such an easy access and easy posting combined.

I just have one question

Is it still spam posting when you've been away for say, a day and reading back through what has been posted in your absenceand replying with your opinions on what people have said/answering questions etc as long as you stop posting once you reach the end of the thread?

That doesnt sound quite right when I read it...
