Ever since I saw the video I have been designing a piece of furniture to go along with the video.
I'm ready to start to build it. Take a look and any improvements or Ideas would be appreciated.

Saw the photos, no doubt the young ladies in the first photo would love Pudsey .. if they could get their hands on him.

Noticed that you've used the original Pudsey rather than the current one. Would that be that there's more "detail" to him (ie more of a traditional Teddy Bear) ?

Yes, I plan on using a CNC machine to do the cut out so I can add more detail.
and besides the song is from then.
If I were going to carve out with chisel and hammer the chances of making a mistake were high and the newer design would be easier.

Back then I just bought a species of wood I wanted and built stuff, and it shows in Caitlin's cradle. Since then I learned the quality of the species makes or breaks the design.

This is going to be fun. I have held onto 3 16' logs for 6 years waiting for something to do with them. The lumber came out of a 75yr old house being torn down, My son and I removed the living room roof in less the 8hrs. I figure 3000 dollars worth of lumber was removed.

I all ready cut a Cedar log into planks 1" x 5". One half of the log came out: Clear, vertical grain, Light brown, absolutely perfect, enough to make two cradles.

Caitlin already has hers, Betsey wouldn't be interested, more interested in horses then dolls.
So I will save 1 for any future gift and the other I'm going to send to Sharon's Flori , as long as it comes out Perfect.

Another Ideas I have come up with is a Four leaf clover with each family member name engraved into a pedal. A off the cuff thought is something to representing the COLers for all their dedication.

Well see, one thing at a time. The more sleep on it the better it gets.

I'm still waiting for Ideas.

I can't believe how good the cradles are turning out. One is finished in clear and the other is in shaker maple.
All the pieces are cut and I'm in the process of carving out Sharons logo and engraving lettering.
Pudsey is done and look cute as a button. Spindles for back of seat now form two hearts.

Additions I'm thinking of, carving into front rail a violin and a four leaf clover with each of their names in a pedal.

Here is something interesting I looked up, the odds of finding a four leaf clover is the same as a person becoming a successful musician 1/10000.

I will post pictures as soon as my nephew returns my camera. People are real good at borrowing but lousy at returning.

I need to stop by and catch up. Sharon has disappeared must be making videos.
