Default New chinese version of wikipedia article is in

Hello everyone

Sorry for the false false alarm and the yo-yo effect. The new chinese version is in and approved by the Chinese wikipedia team - one of the very few cases where deletion was removed I had to upgrade the translation. I'm not sure but Chinese wikipedia seems to have some complex issues including accusations of censorship, such as e.g.:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese...ip_allegations

which I don't want to get into. Part of the problem may have been cultural :shhh: . A Chinese friend of mine from the People's republic of China translated the words "Rebel Heart" into 反叛的心 but a colleague from Taiwan tells me that actually cognates with "betrayal" and so we replaced it with 反抗之心 which cognates with "rebellion". It seems this involved a tricky sensitive translation/cultural issue

But at any rate, the Chinese translation is in . I also have a first draft of Portuguese but some corrections are needed.

Cheers Tony

Default making sure Rebel Heart has posterity

Thanks. Call it a labor of love. One of my arguments was that Rebel Heart was instrumental (no words) and as pure music spoke to the world. Many Chinese love celtic music, so they tell me. It also resonates with them.

I don't want to see "Rebel Heart" lost to posterity. That would be bad.

From an interview with Sharon Corr, I got the impression that she has many compositions which are edgy that have not (yet) been exposed. Taking Rebel Heart as an exampled, I do hope she will be encouraged to do so. Yes, the Corrs have scored major successes in the Pop world, but there is so much more they can offer IMHO.

Cheers

There is something else. From the Italian wikipedia site on Sharon Corr, it is said (in Italian of course):

« C'è un qualcosa nella musica che può comunicare più delle parole. Più parli meglio è, ma non puoi davvero descrivere emozioni intense con le parole. Al contrario la musica trasmette immediatamente un'emozione. »
(Sharon Corr, dal documentario: The Corrs - In Blue, 2000)

These are comments pointing out that instrumental music can convey emotions beyond words and is not limited to any language. My thoughts exactly!

Question: where is the reference for this documentary about the In Blue album in 2000?
I would like to have the actual quote in English.

Cheers

Tony

Default Rebel Heart in Catalan

It seems the Chinese version did not last but the Catalan version went through.

Default Wikipedia site for Rebel Heart in German

Hello everyone

I managed to get a translation of the wikipedia site for Rebel Heart in German:

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Heart

but there is/was a furious debate (in German) about whether or not the article should be eliminated. One guy claimed the article was not relevant and others claimed it was. At last check, the dust seems to have settled and the article is in

Cheers
Tony
