What was helpful was the quote from Sharon Corr from the Corrs website itself. I also found a reference for the Grammy award. I did not find anything concerning charts though (It doesn't seem that Rebel Heart was given much air time at radio stations (?) but I would be grateful for any info on that). It looks like my additions have been accepted and are already used by other websites and forums.

Thank you all again,

Tony
Excellent! Great job I'm sure loads of Corr fans will be very grateful for your contributions!

Thanks! FYI, the URL address is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Heart_(song)

[warning: Make sure that closing bracket ")" is in place, otherwise you might encounter some difficulties. For some reason, the posted hyperlink in this forum doesn't include that last bracket. Go figure. ]

There are several ways of reaching the article from Google:

1) Type "the corrs and wikipedia", at the top, you should get:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Corrs

Click on that URL and you get the wikipedia article on the Corrs, then go to their albums section and click on "In Blue" and you should get:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Blue

Once inside the page for their album "In Blue", you should find in the first paragraph, the mention (and hyperlink) to "Rebel Heart".

2) An alternative is to go to Google and type "the corrs rebel heart and wikipedia", that should give you that very first URL at the top of my message.

Bear in mind that I placed hyperlinks to "Rebel Heart" in several places and so there are several ways of reaching the article. Try it. The article on "Rebel Heart"" is still very small but better than the 2 line thread that was originally there.

Any feedback/suggestions are most welcome.

best wishes/Cheers

Tony

Are you looking to do any more, or do you just have a particular interest in Rebel Heart?

Well, I have a special interest in "Rebel Heart" because I really love it. IMHO, this is a work of genius. Look at the comments on e.g. youtube. It strikes at the heart of a lot of fans.

I would be quite happy to do more for different songs but again, I would need information. How can I help? It's easy for me to modify current articles or perhaps even create articles in wikipedia but again I would need material and most especially references.

There's no pressure or anything But if you were interested in doing more, feel free to start a new thread per song. Perhaps one song at a time so people can focus on it and help you gather information. I'm sure COL'ers could help you out!

ok - I just made a french version of the wikipedia article on "Rebel Heart". Furthermore, for both versions, I added a hyperlink to the 1916 Easter Rising (also in wikipedia).

Default Wikipedia site for Rebel Heart in Dutch and Spanish now

Hello everyone

For the Spanish version, have a look at:

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Heart

and for the Dutch version:

http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Heart

Somebody (or some people) worked out a Dutch version by translating the English description I worked. I am glad to people being inspired and taking their own initiative. I would like to thank them.

Portuguese, anyone?

Cheers Tony

hello everyone,

The wikipedia site for Rebel heart:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Heart_(song)

is now in chinese . just click on the bottom left icon and that should bring you to the Chinese version.

I wanted to give the URL site of the Chinese version directly

http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%8F%8D% ... 4%E5%BF%83

but the Chinese symbols will not come through in this forum

The wikipedia description of the 1916 Easter Rising is also available in Chinese and I made sure the Chinese version of the description of the song Rebel Heart had a hyperlink in that direction.

Cheers

Tony

Default chinese version of wikipedia article vandalized!

Spoke too soon. The chinese version was vandalized. Hmmm, it seems the Chinese editors have their own way of doing things
