info for wikipedia article on "Rebel Heart"
To all forum members,
I am asking for any information concerning "Rebel Heart" so that I can add it to the current Wikipedia article which is currently minimal. What I am looking for is: information about its history, what went into the composition, its reception, highlights concerning its performance ... and most of all... references that support this information. The references can cite magazine or newspaper articles, books, web URL addresses, other wikipedia articles, etc...
Thanks in advance
Tony

Hm, I can't help you much there, I'm afraid. I know it was used as the opening theme for the BBC(?) series "Rebel Heart" though. If you look around IMDb you might find a little info
Other than that I'm not sure.
Anyone know of any interviews or anything where The Corrs have talked about this piece?

It did earn Sharon a Grammy nomination. It was actually a separate commission (for the TV series) which they then decided to place on the next album.

There's a little quote from Sharon about it on The Corrs Official Website.

It has a very Irish melody and we added the tin whistle and so on and it fitted the bill." - Sharon

Oddly enough, although I did find the movie "Rebel Heart" on imdb, there was no mention of the Corrs song "Rebel Heart" (?) They give credit to Debbie Wiseman ("Original music by") but no mention of the Corrs. That's a serious omission IMHO.

Re: information for wikipedia posting on "Rebel Heart"
To all forum members,
I asked this question before. I have received feedback and apparently "Rebel Heart" was especially composed by Sharon Corr which is why I am re-iterating my earlier query here.
I am asking for any information concerning "Rebel Heart" so that I can add it to the current Wikipedia article which is currently minimal. So far, I have out that "Rebel Heart" was nominated for a Grammy. I also have the quote by Sharon Corr from the Corrs website. Not a bad start but more, if possible, would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Tony

Sorry, moving this and merging it with the existing thread Please only start one thread for this. If you're looking for info on separate songs, you can do one thread per song if you like, but please don't post the same thread/query in different forums

Update on wikipedia article on "Rebel Heart"
Hello everyone
Thanks to your feedback, I have enlarged the wikipedia description of "Rebel Heart". It's not perfect but certainly better than before. You are all welcome to look at it. What was helpful was the quote from Sharon Corr from the Corrs website itself. I also found a reference for the Grammy award. I did not find anything concerning charts though (It doesn't seem that Rebel Heart was given much air time at radio stations (?) but I would be grateful for any info on that). It looks like my additions have been accepted and are already used by other websites and forums.
Thank you all again,
Tony
